      HiYa JG!

I originally had a lot of photos from all over the City, ( mainly at the requests of ex-residents ), posted on some other place, somewhere.

I am busy placing the relevent photos now in their proper localities.

It is nice to know that the views are appreciated by so many on the forum.

The sculpture at the start of Bunting Road depicts Oisin and Niamh. ( Legend says that this was the common where the Fianna trained ).

The homes at the end are those where Phil Lynott, ( of Thin Lizzie) fame, lived, and, of course, the great Christy Browne)

Used to see Phil regularly on the 81 bus when we would be going to school He used to live on Leighlin I think. Is there a plaque on the wall? There are another couple of places around that area that have plaques because of famous people. There is Brendan Behan's old house on Kildare Rd and further up on Kildare there should be a plaque on number 120 also.
