Free Entry to Ireland’s Heritage Sites Wednesday
the Office of Public Works has launched an initiative to encourage more people to visit Ireland’s historic sites. This new initiative will mean that access to most historic sites managed by the OPW will be free on the first Wednesday of every month for the rest of this year. The OPW is responsible for the maintenance and management of over over 750 historic sites around the country and they are hoping that this scheme will encourage more national and international visitors to sites such as the Rock of Cashel, Clonmacnoise and the State Apartments in Dublin Castle.

myself and Maisy really enjoyed our days out last year at some of the sites
