  • Flattening the Belly

My flabby belly has been the bane of my life since I was a teenager....even
when slim, it was still there. The last week or so (in addition to dieting and
exercising) I've been pulling it in tightly for several seconds at a time, improving my posture etc....and I feel like it's starting to work already! Just
thought I'd pass this tip on to anyone else who is abdominally-challenged.....

I don't have any hard and fast rules....just everytime I think about it, when
I'm washing up, walking, even lying in bed....I'm doing it right now as I sit
      at the laptop.

well, i can't guarantee success....and it might take a while (depending on
belly size lol) but I do feel (and see) an improvement after only a few days, so I'm sticking to it.

I hardly eat anything, or watch telly, these days. Obviously, if you're fat you
need to combine it with reducing food intake and taking more exercise -
I've started walking a lot more.

                      i was just having a laugh.....sorry...

i believe that we all carry fat. we are programmed to do so by nature...it is a survival strategedy to see us through lean times......

i believe that going on a severe diet is the wrong way to go about....by doing so, we teach our bodies that there may be more lean times....so it builds up reserves to ensure survival.....

the only way forward (in my opinion) is to teach our body the there is no need to do that....

by having regular sufficient meals and regular exercise......we can do that, but it takes time........

                        I agree, but I wanted to kick-start things before my holiday....when I return, I
will probably be less strict with the food, and step up the exercise. I'm one of
those unfortunate people that really has to restrict my intake of food all the
time - I put weight on very easily, but that may be due to being inactive.

like i said......diets teach the body to store fat.....

inactivity, is not a good idea....staires is the best exercise.......up, and down..

The Cautionary Tale Of Flabby Gabby. A Poem.
                            by ~Fudgepops

                            Flabby gabby, cute and plump
Put an air hose in her rump
The bulb found itself under foot
As Flabby gabby began to pump

                            Flabby gabby began to grow
With every pump and every blow
She patted her stomach, as it grew
Still the texture of fresh dough

With glee she gave a joyous yell
As Gabby's belly began to swell
Round and taut, her paunch became
Till all at once she prompty fell

Upon her bed, upon her back,
This called for a slightly different tack.
The bulb connected to a tiny pump
                            Gabby's waistline, under attack.

Into her belly, air did rush
And Flabby Gabby began to blush
                            A tingling sensation quickly spread
Out from the hose stuck in her tush

She heard a sound, not quite a sigh
A slowly opened a cautious eye
What she saw was enough to shock
What came in sight could tell no lies

Her belly, huge and full of gas
Had grown into a gigantic mass
Air's harmless enough when left alone
But not when pumped straight up one's ass.

Her stomach growled, before it groaned.
"oh crap," she thought, "I may be boned"
Her navel popped out, stretchmarks spread,
An ambulance, she should have phoned

                            Flabby gabby, wise was not
In the least, she should have stopped.
But what else would you expect of me...
                            Flabby gabby's belly popped.

Let that be a lesson, for the curious mind,
Not to put a hose in your behind
Our heroine's tummy was ruptured thus
All because, she too, was so inclined.
