Minister of State for Primary Care Alex White has issued consultation documents where he says his plans are to “amend the regulations to allow a newly authorised medicinal product containing cannabis extract to be prescribed, supplied and used by patients.

Medicinal cannabis is used to treat: Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, cancers, Crohn's Disease, diabetes, glaucoma, nausea, vomiting and can be used to stimulate hunger in chemotherapy and AIDS patients.
