It had to be done. Hands up who'll be watching. Here's the guy on the net doing impressions of Nidge for his mother.

Nidge is a character in Love Hate which is a series about Dublin criminals on RTE. It has been a big hit over here and rumour has it it has been sold to the states and a few other countries. Whether or not these countries get it is another thing. Here is a clip Nidge is the skinhead. The bloke in the other clips is doing an impression.

Its a pity you didn't persevere RB, it was a great series with some very talented actors. Not for the easily shocked it was violent and very ''earthy'' with some pretty raw scenes. Had to go to confession every time I watched it. Looking forward to next series. Tom Vaughn-Lawlor as Midge is outstanding.

I've never watched it and never will.... I grew up in Finglas and while it had its ups and downs back then I fail to understand how the Irish could laud awards for 'entertainment' and artistic merit on a series that doesn't even begin to mirror the horror and violence that has become endemic in working class areas of Dublin.

It's voyeuristic porn for those middle class areas never touched by drug related gangland killings and doesn't even begin to relate to the misery of those affected - in ten years time this country (hopefully) will be ashamed for ever having produced such a series.
                        Everything is self-evident.
