  • speculators and pensions.....

you pay into a private pension........the money is speculated and you get an income when you retire.....

''pension'' usually means (in the uk anyway) that the money you invest is tax free.....so it is attractive to invest in a ''private pension''.......

''bondholding''.....is not speculating......it is investing for a guaranteed return (usually not very big) , but you are guaranteed to always get a return (if countries do not default)......

speculators are mainly just ordinary people buying a house, endownment , shares. and a private pension.....

the people who do the speculating on the markets etc for them.....are just their agents.........working on their behalf for a fee....

nobody complains when they get an enhanced pension because they have had good years on the markets............

bankers are people that work in the banking side of banks.....honest hardworking people who do not deserve the title ''bankers''.....

most of the banks have an investment side......people who do the speculation on behalf of investors (including pension funds)....

to scream that the ''bankers should be tried for not breaking the law...is akin to saying housebuyers should be tried for not breaking the law.......some have made money, some have lost money........due to speculation......

borrowing money that cannot be paid back...is just as bad for the individual as it is for business and even nations........

an economic crisis is usually caused by money that has ''been spent''......and of course......not a lot of moans while it is being spent.....
