Please remember our Irish hero James Connolly who was shot dead by British soldiers as he sat tied to a chair just inside the yard of Kilmainham Jail.
He was too badly wounded to stand, and the British army doctor that attended him as he lay suffering in Dublin Castle was of the opinion that he had but days to live before dying of his injuries.
But they shot him anyway!
