There appears to be some confusion going around regarding the issue of members being addressed by their actual names in posts - I may have contributed to that confusion, so just to clarify again;
Many regular posters know other members names eg. MKM is known to be Helen and she encourages other posters to address her as such - there is no issue there and never has been.
Problems only arise when someone is addressed by their name in a post when they have never given their consent for that to happen.
It's simply a matter of courtesy and shouldn't be interpreted as some new departure on the forum. It's always been there by implication - it may not have arisen before, probably because as a practice it's been observed and respected by the membership as a whole.
