          Hi Tommy
I'm sure you will remember the Liberty Creche in Meath St. It was opposite C J Cremens the Chemist. In he 50s the Creche was run by a German girl called Ulrsala.Had one of my first underage pints in the pub on the corner of Thomas St,I think it was called Bakers. I worked for Mr C J Cremen and made up the special cough mixtures and ointments. All for £1-10 shillings a week. Good money in the 50s.
I google because I'm not young enough to know everything.

Hi Tommy,my gmother was born in Oliver Bond House so she was a frequent visitor to the Tivo,Maro, and knows the place well.. she often tells of the usher in the tivo named Harry who was not a kind person by all accounts!! lots of memories of High St,Thomas St and surrounding pubs and shops. She was friends with the girls who lived in bridgefoot St over the grocery store owned by their Mother, ?Mrs Hayde...Hope to see more of the memories posted..Sallyo
