Can you see the videos now? If not try restarting your computer and all should be well.

                        Yeah the story is,
RTE were making a film called caught in a free state, about german spies parachuting into Ireland, to access england via the back door.

Thats me on the left, Vernon McCarthy in the centre, and Ronan Lee RTE cameraman on the right.

Brave man. You wouldn't get me up in one of those tri engined planes. They look like nissen huts with wings!

Thats a fair description as far as I can recall.
In the space between the two pilots was a 45 gallon drum of oil, and the third crew members job was to pump oil to the engines while in flight.

It was quite an experience to be honest.

Takes me back to our times spent at Lakenheath Air force base and Mildenhall in the UK, plus all the great air shows with so many different types of terrific planes. When we were stationed here at , myrtle beach air force base, the warthogs were a big attraction, in fact the base is now a huge outdoor shopping mall and a lot of the planes are on display all over the place. I will add that my son in law was a gunner on the B52s , and my son and 2 sons in law were all working on the E3sor AWACs planes out of Oklahoma, so I have a bit of a fascination with planes myself, lol . Great pictures, keep up the good work!
