    Still no sign of the park to open. Work starts soon on some restoration of the tower, so it'll probably remain closed until that's finished in which case it'll be almost a year behind schedule.

        This is long overdue an update. The refurbed park opened early this year. The historical/creepy atmosphere is largely gone but, on the other hand, so is the drug problem, mostly. The park has been absolutely hopping all summer, especially with the weather, and the visitor centre has had a massive, massive increase in visitors from Dublin, which is really positive.

          ...a few more. Not pictured is the water fountain at the Bridge Street end inscribed with the names of children killed in the Rising. That was officially unveiled by Joe Duffy a few weeks ago.

                    Yes, the Corpo organised it and they now have gardeners and wardens there every day to maintain it, which is even better.
