Recently finished reading "Holding" by Graham Norton.....It's about the remains of a body that is found by builders while preparing a site for housing, in a small village in Cork.
I was surprised how well written it was.... The characters are typical of a rural Irish village and you get involved with their lives and how they intertwine, virtually every adult is a suspect in what turns out to be a murder .
Kept me interested from the start, and some nice little twists and turns along the way .....
It reminded me of an episode of "Midsummer Murders" by set in Ireland...
The mind is everything. What you think you become.

Qiu Xiaolong "Inspector Chen" is worth reading, described as Chinese version of Morse. Apart from the crime you learn a good bit about Chinese culture and the Communist party.
