        • thanks Joan, brings back memories, but still the wrong end of the lane for me, ha ha, after all these years, I still cannot find a picture of the tenements at the Patrick St end, Exactly opposite the Night Refuge, Will keep hunting,

                  • When applying for a job for Johnson Matteys, a London bullion firm, I knew they required a full working history reference, Well I had a year out that I could not cover for so I told them I worked for a wood yard in Ardee St for the time in question, A week later they came back that the place had closed as I well knew, I got the job, Poor old J M paid dearly for that indiscretion,

                          Yep... still see some of the castellated architecture ....The gate is said to be original.
                          They used to sell off the recovered stolen bikes periodically if they weren't claimed within a certain timeframe....a year I think.
