                      kildare road

I think Kildare road runs from the star Cinema through Clonard Road & Bangor Road, where the winking lamp was & ends at the four road pub.Its a very long road,I was a milk boy who got the job when my brother went to Clogher Road Tech.and kept the job in the family. 1957/8

I well remember it Bro Frank10, It was an experience to see you take over the job from our brother Tom. But when I think of those cold mornings and the early hours I can only applaud you both, You helped out so much to increase our standard of living and to pay for my wedding lol!

Talking about Kildare Rd, brings back memories of my first job(at 13yrs) on a Johnston Mooney & O'Brien horse-drawn van delivering bread & cakes from the Sundrive Rd. Depot. I got the sack when they found out how old I was.

Hi Diddler prior to my early marriage at eighteen, I worked in the Star Cinema on Kildare Road, I walked up and down it four times a day, going home for my break and returning, It seemed to me to be the longest road
