Blue moon is the term used when two full moons fall within a calendar month, nothing to do with colour Vico. Once in every 3 years.

I understand that Napper, but was just commenting that it did look a wee bit blue from here, the reason is that it was surrounded by black clouds, a trick of the light I guess.
