To be refused planning permission on 1st application , but then to go and build a much larger size ...... terrible to see it torn down .

Seems a waste but I have heard similar before.... house not too far from me.....5 inches too high....

they never had permissiion but kept on adding to it, huge sense of entitlement, I agree with it been torn down, I also think the law should be applied fairly and equally, anyone remember the old couple that put a tent on the street and claimed they had no where to live, and owned properties that they had rented out, or the people who set up tents on a certain roundabout and turned out they had homes and jobs in their own country, and the huge extension in Sutton backing onto the beach that also did not have permission, and there was one on Howth head area that was had to be torn down, do we ignore planning rules when it suits?

Got what they deserve ....we have money so we can do what we like .....believe they have property abroad and have been living there recently

They suggested leaving the house standing and use it for a charity but they still own the ground/land the house was on so they could have still got a few shekels out of it
