Gardai conducted a high-impact day of action under Operation Meacan in the Dublin Metropolitan Region yesterday, Tuesday 4th August 2026.
The update seizures figures from the 96 searches undertaken by Gardai are below:
* 166 e-bikes and e-scooters
* 7 Surron bikes
* 4 scrambler motorcycles
* 3 quad vehicles
* 25,820 in cash
* Suspected drugs valued in excess of 158,000 (pending analysis)
* A sawn-off shotgun and ammunition
Four of the five individuals who were arrested have since been charged and will appear before Court on a future date. The one male arrested on foot of a bench warrant has since appeared before Court.
