Are there aliens out there

My opinion is that if they are real is why do they not come and say hello for a start.If there is say a Mars world do they also have countries within just like us. Are there countries like Russia China North Korea and would it have an Ireland just for the craic.Do they have office and manufacturing workers and would they have unions or does everyone get all that they need. Do they play any sports or being so clever do they all play chess. So many things I could add but I will wait for responses

You could just as easily ask "why haven't we been to say hello to them". And you could say they've tried - think of all the alleged UFO sightings - just as we've been making expeditions into space. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if there are life forms on other planets, why should we be the only ones?👽

Katie it is proving a big deal to put people once again on the moon . So how are we going to go light years away which most feel these aliens are from. So as I asked what kind of society have they got if they are real. Would they be a totalitarian society ? I would love to hear some ideas on these thoughts

Morning Silver , be almost impossible to try and gauge what type of society [if any] there may be , but ........ isn't that that fun part as such , letting your mind roam as to what you think it may be / or wish it may be .

We're led led to believe that they [if any] are far superior in technology , how can that assumption be made if not proven they exist ..... in the immortal words of the song ' There are more questions than answers ' , a 70s hit I believe if memory serves me , lol .

There is whole genre called science fiction which talks about these issues all the time. Might I recommend David Brin "The Uplift War".

Why would there not be? as there are enough planets to allow all sorts of combinations of what we call life..
If they are behind us in technology is that a good thing?
If they are in front of us, have they already destroyed themselves and their planet?

Most UFO sightings from cars was when cars had trays on the dashboards and people put many reflective things on them..

The universe is a huge place with many galaxies, I think it is reasonable that some other forms of life exist besides ourselves. Many other believe that too, rightly or wrongly, who knows. I used to know a woman who was the secretary of the Boyle UFO society. I thought she was joking when she told me, but no she was serious. They met up regularly and went out to wait the alien ship, it never turned up, but it appears they lived in hope

No definitive answer from experts whether one way or the other they do exist ....

Now , for those who have replied to the O.P ....... do you think there is ?? .. don't have to give any logic to it ...... but a simple yes or no .

I do believe that there is a good chance that there are other life forms out there, but whether or not they are any way like us is a different story

I think the reason people are unable to contemplate the fact that there may be other planets with life forms is a hangover from centuries of religious belief. Whether we're religious or not, we still have this residual belief, conscious or otherwise, that we're somehow special, the creation of a superior entity. If you strip that idea away, then as others have said, why on earth (no pun intended!) would there not be life elsewhere in the universe?

Katie that is a very good point and I think you are right. Look how long it took for some people to accept Darwins theory. They could not accept that they were not better and more important than animals because they were taught that they have a soul - an interesting entity that nobody can define
