If this was in the Conspiracies Theory thread I'd say that they were trying to build up a DNA database for security purposes...

On a side note I have O+ and tried to donate here in France but I found that they have practically blacklisted the whole country from giving blood. They will not accept blood from anybody who lived in Ireland/Britain during the Mad Cow era.

You're the same as me Tommie......we're the Universal Recipients apparently, so we can have blood from any Tom, Dick or Patrick wthout it causing a reaction.

same here Tommie, they used to send a taxi to my job [and my mate] I am a positive , not rare but for some reason they used to need a lot regularly [great for the free Guinness though].
