As in many other western countries the culture and customs of Ireland is being eroded in the name of multiculturalism. How about those people from foreign land attempting to adapt to those of their host country. It took Ireland nearly 800 years to break the chains of colonialism. More should be done to retain it's unique identity. Just a thought.

The idea that Irish identity could be "eroded" by people wearing certain types of religious clothing suggests that Irish culture isn't strong enough to withstand such a threat, which I'm fairly sure isn't the case.
