Paul Street off Blackhall Street, Dublin 7. Each of those small Tenement houses contained at least four separate dwellings. They were demolished with the large Georgian tenements in the 1970's/80's. Had been looking for photos of Paul Street for years as I knew and used to visit friends there in the 1960/70's. This is the only one I ever came across.

Excellent pic PEGS, never saw one of Paul St, although I have seen ppl post FADE ST thinking it was Paul St. Well done you, thanks a lot for this one.
After the last ever performance - the grand finale - on 30 June 1962 the cleaners at the Theatre Royal Hawkins Street went to work for the last.....goodness knows why.....because very soon afterwards the wrecking balls moved in, and the footings of another monstrous glass cage were sunk.
Mickser Reed did the Grand Finale on stage one night and started work as a 'nipper' on the demolition site the next week....sad sad sad.....
See here some of the demolition here from the brilliant LORCAN FILMS who preserved so much of old Dublin.
