            Thanks for that first hand info there Quackser.....it's many a carefree day I spent in Sandymount....running on that lovely sand....shame we had te get older eh. Here's mud in yer eye.

                        • Lucky Cody sold sweepstake tickets etc. They were also a general tobacco/sweet shop.

                          It's now the Millstone Restaurant.

                              No DT.......It's in a very prominent position on Dame Street - at least it's still there....not like the poor Jury's Hotel, across the road, which has been replaced with a glorified bunker.

                                It's a cryin shame when these old landmarks get demolished....in a prime position too.
