Just finished this about Tara Browne , a Guinness heir who was the inspiration behind the John Lennon song on Sgt Peppers album . Died at 21 in a traffic accident but crammed an awful lot into that short life . Worth a read .

Correct , John Lennon came across him at some party or other along with Paul McCartney and apparently was pretty hostile to him ,as Lennon had a chip on his shoulder about the upper classes ( of which Tara Browne would have been a member of )
But it still comes across as nasty in the lyrics of the song about the death of a 21 year old kid ;

I read the news today, oh boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph.
He blew his mind out in a car
He didn't notice that the red lights had changed
A crowd of people stood and stared
They'd seen his face before
Nobody was really sure
If he was from the House of Lords.
