Has any one ever heard of "Voltarin". My wife finds it to be very helpful for joint pain.It is a Steroid, but it is sold over the counter in drug stores(Chemists) here. A big tube costs $14.00

Antmel; The Voltarin tube states that it is for joint pain relief.

Correction; The gel is spelled Voltaren, and the uses state that it is used for joint pain, back pain, and sore muscles.

It's such a shame people have to suffer with chronic pain,it can make your life bloody miserable.I got Psoriasis when I was 4 and lived a life of misery, with the name calling, and people accusing my Mother of having syphillis, and giving me the Psoriasis.I spent years in Hospitals in Dublin, where I was also abused. But when I got older I also got Psoriatic Arthritis, which often goes with the Psoriasis,an auto immune disease.well I finally met up with a wonderful Dermatologist in San Antonio Texas back in 1968,this Guy recommended Methotrexate,Chemotherapy, which was discovered by Drs treating Children with Leukemia,Here's the thing, people with arthritis have been prescribed small doses of Methotrexate for many years, and it has been very successful, but European Doctors won't prescribe it because it has serious side effects, well most medicines have side effects, but if your blood is checked regurlarly it is safe enough.Personally,if I don't take it all the time,as I have done for over 30 years now,I would be covered with Psoriasis and crippled with Psoriatic arthritis, personally I think its a bloody shame for people to suffer when the medicines are there,I bet it's a money thing, nothing else!
