Basin Lane Dublin Old Photos

Hi all, I'm currently having quite a large family tree put together by an excellent Genealogist in Dublin. My family were the Kelly Family and my father and his 20 siblings were nearly all born and brought up in Basin Lane, Dublin also known as Basin Street Upper in the 1920's 30's and 40's. While we have done really well tracing the family back quite far, we have really struggled to locate any old photos of this street back then. A lot of the properties, including my Grandparents house no. 8 and 8a were demolished in the 1960's to make way for the flats that are still there today. I would really appreciate it if anyone had any photos of this street back then. It would be a great addition to the tree to have some photos of the street along with members of the family. We have tried the Dublin Corporation/ Council but have had no joy yet.

I've had no luck yet on the other pages you sent me or with Dublin City Archives on Pearse Street and National Library on Kildare Street which I've also tried.

Hopefully something will turn up.

Hi, Just thought i'd post again in case and new members had any old photo's of Basin Lane in Dublin from the 1920's 30's 40's & 50's. before a lot of it was knocked down in the 1960's.
