The latest edition of New Tricks is starting tonight on BBC1 at 9pm. This is a first rate drama, now in its 11th series [I think] Only Dennis Waterman remains from the original line up. Nicholas Lyndhurst [Rodney] has joined the team. Only last night I watched a couple of repeats, great stuff, looking forward to tonights opening episode in the latesr helping.Attention soapies, it follow's the second Corrie so ya wont miss any soap fun, maybe you might give it a try [Those of you who haven't watched any episode yet]

Loved the series, but I'm going to have to get used to the new actors. The old ones were perfect.

Started last week didn't it? Not getting the new line up, James Bolam and Alum Armstrong were class acts. Apparently this season is going to flesh out the background stories to the new characters. The series should still do well as it hasnt much competition if you don't have Netflix.

Very good series, repeats practically every day on Dave. Armstrong and Bolam hard to replace but Nicholas Lyndhurst is a nice change and Tamzin Outhwaite very easy on the eye. On BBC so not riddled with ads another plus.

Was watching a rerun of one of the old episodes recently and saw Sheila Hancocks name on the cast. I had seen her in New Tricks before, she played Sandras mother. I was left waiting for her to appear, the episode ended , no Shiela Hancock. Her part was cut out obviously but her name was left on the credits. Anybody else notice this?

Watched an episode of the latest New Tricks last night. I did enjoy it but felt the old magic is gone along with the old team,Dennis Waterman being the exception. However I still think its a good series and I will keep watching.

Before the cast meltdown it was pulling in 8+ million viewers which by TV audiences today is massive. Last week episode with the new cast was 7.2 million.

I watched it last night, the storyline was very similar to a previous episode.

Its a pity Alun Armstrong left, he was a great charactor. Appartantly he felt the scripts were not up to previous standards. Not sure why James Bolam left, Amanda Redman felt 10 years was enough, a lovely lady, herself and Natalie J Robb from Emmerdale are my two favourite telly gals.
