Hi Dumble Window. Great to see another Phibsboro person involved in the Forum. It is over five months since this thread was activated and I am delighted at your involvement. Unfortunately I wasted two very important years of my adolescent life thinking I could have been a serious Snooker player. I was 15/16 at the time and gave up a reasonably promising Soccer involvement. I really wasn't that good at snooker and went back to football to play at a reasonably high standard in the AUL Minor League, which was the top Dublin Youth League in the late 1950's. The cottages behind the wagon were Flynn's Cottages. I had friends who lived there.
Your activation of this thread enables me to put up some other entries.

Thanks for the welcome
Thank you for the welcome Pegasus and the further info on the picture I posted. Brilliant pictures from you (as always).. You lot are a really friendly bunch so thank you very much for the welcome.
p.s. Sorry about the snooker career, in fairness, a lot of the pro players are alcoholics so, bullet dodged ;-)

I really enjoyed reading this thread. Been familiar with Phib since I was a kid though have never lived there. I have a few Phibsborough related photos to share, do I need to upload them somewhere first or can I post them directly in thread?

Here is one of Phibsborough proper from the Irish Times, the transformation of the Royal Canal spur into Royal Canal Park in 1933.Attached Files
