  • Swiss reject gun control

Bravo and well done, Switzerland. Swiss citizens overwhelmingly voted in favor of keeping their guns. This is a great victory for personal liberties and national sovereignty, but a major blow to left wing sell out merchants, globalists and criminals.

Xavier Schwytzguebel of the right-wing Swiss People’s Party:
“I think guns represent our whole identity, our democratic system, our freedom. Since Switzerland exists thanks to a militia system, resulting from civilians serving in the army, it has always been the case that firearms were kept at home”

It's too risky not having guns around to defend yourself against criminals for for keeping the balance between citizens and government. The Americans and Swiss fully understand this. Let's hope citizens of other nations will wise up as well.

If it's a question of killing or getting killed, I will no doubt defend myself. The Lord fully condones self and home defense.

I have been to Switzerland and indeed, it's a nice and safe place to live in because the citizens are armed and entitled to use their guns for home and self defense. Compare this to neighboring Germany, where a lot of bureaucratic and unnecessary restrictions have been imposed on potential gun owners and shooting enthusiasts over the last two decades. And of course (West) Germany inherited Hitler's so-called "reasonable gun laws" passed in 1938. His gun laws indeed were reasonable when compared to the anti-gun drive in modern Germany. As a result, many larger German cities are crime-ridden,and it's no longer safe for the elderly to walk out at night.

Cam your one eye is overworking again ! The USA, which is the most gun loaded nation on this earth has the highest crime rate in the world and by far the most per capita imprisoned !!!

Switzerland on the other hand has a controlled approach to gun ownership which includes proper training in gun handling and a responsible approach to the care and use of firearms .... you cannot walk into any hardware or general store and purchase a handgun !!

Like in the US, Swiss gun laws may differ from state to state, or Kantons, as the Swiss states are being called. The general rule about buying guns in Switzerland are:
You must provide proof of residence in Switzerland. You can not be a national from a war zone. You can not bring Swiss-bought guns abroad.
When buying a gun, the deal is between you and the gun dealer. Your details will stay with the gun dealer in question and not forwarded to any government agency. No so-called government background checks required.
Unlike the US, you won't be able to buy guns in Wallmarts, but there are plenty of gun stores in Switzerland, and many of them sell guns they manufactured themselves.

I believe Hitler left the Swiss alone in ww2 because he said" We will have to fight from house to house and the losses would be enormous" pity he didnt see that happening in Russia.

This is correct. A heavily armed population protected Switzerland from Nazi invasion during WW2.
